Baghdad, August 20, 2025 – Al-Nahrain Foundation for Transparency and Integrity organized a training workshop on Wednesday within the Program for Enhancing Transparency and Government Accountability – Public Sector at Al-Mahatta Foundation, Hall (A), in Baghdad.
The workshop was attended by 15 trainees from the Federal Integrity Commission – Prevention Department, and aimed to introduce the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), Chapter II on preventive measures. The session also reviewed Iraq’s international evaluations and the extent of its compliance with and implementation of Chapter II of the Convention.
The program, which will continue for two years, targets the public sector, private sector, and civil society organizations. It focuses on promoting adherence to and implementation of Chapters II and III of the UNCAC to help improve Iraq’s international evaluation by encouraging Iraqi institutions to adopt best practices in implementation.
