Al-Nahrain Foundation for Transparency and Integrity held an online workshop to introduce the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Iraq and discuss the data from its 2019 and 2020 reports. The workshop targeted the broader civil society community in Dhi Qar Governorate.
The workshop was attended by several civil society organizations, representatives from the Dhi Qar Chamber of Commerce, the Dhi Qar Businessmen’s Union, and academics. It lasted for two hours, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
It was agreed to work as a team to review and discuss the data specific to Dhi Qar Governorate contained in the report, create an infographic, and then present and discuss it with the wider civil society community in the governorate.
