On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the Al-Nahrain Foundation for Supporting Transparency and Integrity organized a training workshop for a group of civil society organizations at the Al-Murabid Hall, within the Nisan Institute for Democratic Awareness in Basra Province. The event was held as part of the program “Enhancing Financial Transparency in the Health and Education Sectors.”
The workshop gathered 15 participants, including 11 men and 4 women, representing active civil society organizations in Basra.
Discussions focused on the importance of monitoring and accountability in the health and education sectors, methods for identifying risks and patterns of corruption, and the legal mechanisms available to combat corruption.
