Today, Wednesday 11/2/2022, Mr. Saad Fayyad, Director General of the Parliamentary Development Institute, received Mr. Muhammad Rahim, Director of the Nahrain Foundation for Transparency Support, to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two sides.
During the meeting, held at the Institute's building, mechanisms for implementing activities related to integrity and transparency and supporting the national anti-corruption strategy were discussed.
The Director General emphasized the importance of holding workshops to develop awareness programs in areas such as integrity, financial, administrative, and legal aspects, noting the House of Representatives' support for the Institute's work and facilitation of all efforts to advance legislative work.
Mr. Fayyad noted that the Parliamentary Development Institute continues, relying on its own resources, to organize diverse and specialized activities in various fields through cooperation with Arab and international civil society organizations.
For his part, Mr. Mohammed Rahim, Director of the Nahrain Foundation for Transparency, expressed his desire for the House of Representatives to participate in activities to support the national strategy to combat corruption and promote transparency, in addition to seeking to hold a workshop for representatives on anti-corruption.
