Al-Nahrain Institute for Supporting Transparency and Integrity, represented by its President Mr. Mohammed Raheem Al-Rubaie, participated in a workshop organized by Tawasul Organization for Youth Empowerment on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
The workshop discussed the “Guide to Safeguarding Legislation from Corruption in Iraq: Towards a More Transparent Legal Environment,” with the participation of a distinguished group of legal experts, parliamentarians, and specialists in governance and anti-corruption. The guide was applied as a model to the Independent High Electoral Commission Law No. 53 of 2008.
The session was moderated by parliamentary expert Ali Omar, during which participants reviewed the key points of the guide, its implementation mechanisms, and the most significant legal loopholes that could be exploited to enable corrupt practices or undermine the independence and integrity of the Commission’s work.
